Exciting News from the Johanna Project: A Major Step Towards The Haysheds!
The team at the Johanna Project is thrilled to announce a major milestone: we’ve officially been granted a permit for four eco cottages and a caretaker’s dwelling — soon to become The Haysheds, our bespoke eco accommodation experience.
The Haysheds form one of the three core aspects of the Johanna Project and have been carefully designed to reflect and respect the coastal Johanna landscape — an area of state-level environmental significance. This permit approval marks a huge step forward in our mission to create spaces that honour both place and purpose.
Scattered thoughtfully among the rolling hills, each cottage will pay tribute to the region’s farming heritage through timeless, shed-inspired architecture. In addition to the accommodation, the approved plans include a comprehensive Land Management Plan focused on revegetation and site rehabilitation — a commitment to preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of this unique environment.
